Andrew Alanis, APCC

"Creating a safe space where it is possible for people to be whole human beings" is a concept beautifully articulated by a clinical psychologist, highlighting the importance of fostering authenticity and acceptance in therapeutic relationships. My name is Andrew Alanis, and I strive to integrate this principle into my work as an associate clinician, supporting and empowering individuals of all ages as they navigate mental health challenges. My experience in clinical settings began during my undergraduate studies and deepened as I pursued my commitment to providing psychotherapy and clinical counseling to children, adolescents, and families by earning a master's degree in counseling psychology with a specialization in work with children and adolescents.

Alongside my work and education, I continue to explore additional passions, including weightlifting, golfing, mindfulness practice, and spending quality time with friends and family. As an associate clinician at Stepping Forward Counseling Center (SFCC), I aim to bring an authentic presence to my work and create a therapeutic environment that is not only effective but also playful, enjoyable, and engaging.
