Mr. Jason, LPC
Jason is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) at Stepping Forward Counseling Center’s Chatham, NJ location. He is a program director of SFCC’s partial care (PCP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and summer therapeutic (C.A.M.P.) programs, as well as a therapist and crisis intervention trainer. He earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Montclair State University and his master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Farleigh Dickinson University. Jason has been with SFCC since 2011, when he started as a master’s level intern.
Jason has experience in treating children and adolescents with a wide variety of symptoms and clinical diagnoses. As a counselor, he uses an eclectic approach, utilizing several modalities and interventions to meet our clients’ individual needs. These modalities include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and other treatment interventions with a focus on teaching clients the skills they need to better manage thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. In his personal life, he is an avid reader and enjoys sports and martial arts.
