Parent Support and Education

Parents play an important role in supporting their child's progress.

Through parent support and education, our multidisciplinary team provides families with practical strategies to reinforce the skills their child is learning and apply them at home, school, and in the community. Our goal is to strengthen communication, build confidence, and help families support their child's continued progress.

Our workshops provide parents and caregivers with practical, evidence-based tools in a supportive and collaborative learning environment. Topics are presented by SFCC's multidisciplinary team of professionals, including experts in DBT, behavioral education, music therapy, nutrition, and psychology. Parent workshops are open to SFCC clients and are primarily offered via Zoom. Occasionally, select workshops may be held in person.

Drawing on more than 30 years of mindfulness practice and training, mindfulness facilitator and foster dad Anthony Cupo (TMF) shares practical strategies for navigating parenting challenges, supporting emotional growth, reducing digital overwhelm, and strengthening family relationships.
