Intensive Outpatient Program
Afterschool + Saturdays
(Ages 4 - 18)
Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), offered during afterschool hours, is tailored for individuals seeking more than just an hour of talk therapy. SFCC's IOP emphasizes the application of coping skills in real-life situations. Each session lasts between 2.5 to 3 hours and occurs 2 to 3 times a week, featuring a mix of individual, group, family, and parenting classes, as well as school support/ IEP . A collaborative approach that promotes successful outcomes for both our clients and their families.
Programs are appropriate for children and adolescents between the ages of 4 and 18 who demonstrate social skills deficits, depression, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, ADHD, ODD, mild pervasive developmental disorders, problems related to school, or any other mental illness diagnosis.
Through extensive behavioral observations, positive reinforcement and strategic planning, we guide our patients to understand and control their emotions in a group and individual setting. Our diverse variety of activities will teach our clients valuable life skills, such as self-regulation, coping skills, communication skills, following instructions, using respectful language and tone of voice, socializing with their peers and much more.
SFCC strives to improve all aspects of our patients' lives. Program activities employ a behavior modification plan and a token economy system. Clients earn points based on individual and group treatment goals, which they trade in for chosen reinforcers following activities four to five times per day. All of our programs are customized to each patient’s individual needs. In addition to the evidence-based and art therapies, our Intensive Outpatient Afterschool Program includes a holistic healing component.
Our IOP Program/Afterschool and Saturdays are designed for individuals in need of an intensive level of care to prevent a day program or to follow up after being discharged from a day program. Programs are appropriate for children and adolescents between the ages of 4 and 21 who demonstrate social skills deficits, depression, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, ADHD, ODD, mild pervasive developmental disorders, problems related to school, or any other mental illness diagnosis.
