Topic: Antioxidants, Phytonutrients, Inflammation and their relationship with mental health.

  • Nutrition skill: Members will learn about the importance of antioxidants and phytonutrients in the diet and its impact on mental health.

  • Members will learn to identify foods that are rich in antioxidants and phytonutrients that can have a positive impact on their mental health and overall self-esteem.

  • Members will also process how aspects of their current emotion urges and symptoms can correlate with their current diet and ways to foster change as needed.


Miss Adila, Dietitian

Adila Fakhar received a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics (BSC), and a Master of Science in Nutrition (MSC) at the University of Karachi, Pakistan respectively. Fakhar attended a Dietetic Internship Program at Meredith College, Raleigh, NC, and received a Certificate in Obesity Intervention in Adults. Adila volunteers for Meals on Wheels in Madison, NJ, and is a board member for the Madison Marching Band Booster Club at Madison High School. Outside work, Adila enjoys cooking, baking, pickleball, and spending time with her family.
